"P"

Lately Edin is drinking a lot of water in the evening and espeically at bed time. I know he drinks water during the day but it seems like he's making up lost time at night. As a result, he has a LOT of pee by midnight. Two nights this last week Edin peed out of his diaper. One night was so bad we had to change the sheets! I've changed his diaper at midnight probably five times already. I'm not sure if it's because of all the water, some change in his diet or if it's something else. It seems pretty odd and I HATE having to use another diaper. I mean, my kids worth it, don't get me wrong but it's rough. That's my piece. Peace.

Kallie did this same thing at a similar age! We finally ended up giving her more water during the day and limiting her water before bedtime. If she asked for a drink, she got about 2 swallows worth. That seemed to help. Also, you can get overnight diapers--or just diapers in the next size up--and those can also help keep it contained at night. It is especially frustrating to have that extra laundry when you have to haul it up (or down) the hill.

I have a solution, potty train him :)

He may be really thirsty because of the heat in summer. He is keeping himself hydrated.

I really want to potty train Edin but he seems like a stubborn little man and I don't want to fight him. I'd sure love to stop buying diapers, THAT's for sure.

I love it! Doesn't it just feel like you are up to your elbows in pee and poop being a mom?

Good luck. Hope you get better sleep soon.
